Mediation is a process where a neutral mediator helps multiple parties facilitate an agreement on contested issues. A mediator is not an advocate for either side but rather a person who works to help the parties find common ground in their case to reach a resolution. In Forsyth County, and most surrounding counties, mediation is required in all family law cases before a final hearing and sometimes earlier in the litigation.
At Patterson Moore Butler, Jennifer Patterson, Tracy Ann Moore and Ryan Brumlow are experienced mediators who will use their expertise to prepare you for mediation and negotiate a result for you. They are experienced with sitting on both sides of the table either as an attorney advocating for their client or a mediator to help parties resolve their differences.
